Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPA-U) is a product of the European EPBD guideline for energy performance in buildings. You can enjoy significant (financial) benefits when you take energy-saving measures in your building. GTI is EPA-U certified. We can inspect your building and advise you on the measures you can take to save energy.

What does GTI do?
During the EPA-U inspection, GTI ask you as the building owner how you perceive the building. For example, is it pleasant to work in the building? We also ask you about any long-term plans you might have for the building. Do you intend to renovate soon, or are you planning to relocate? This is followed by the physical inspection. Is it draughty in the building? Is there any overheating? Are the pipes still in good shape? Are the boilers and the cooling systems still functioning or are they obsolete? Lastly, GTI provides you with recommendation on how to improve the energy performance of the building. This can generate the following benefits:

• greater comfort for employees;
• less environmental pollution;
• a better image.

Why GTI?

There are three important reasons for choosing GTI:

1. Our services entail more than inspection.
In addition to the compulsory Energy Certificate, GTI also advises on energy savings (and provides you with a cost estimate). If you wish, we will repair the defects ourselves. Moreover, you can enter into a maintenance and management contract with GTI for several years. We will then take full responsibility for all your system maintenance tasks.

2. GTI offers independent inspection.
Not only GTI as a company, but also all our inspectors individually are certified for various disciplines (scopes). Moreover, every inspector is evaluated every eighteen months on the basis of an examination of his/her work and reports.

3. GTI is the only organisation that can provide you with the EPA-U inspection as part of a total package.
