Sekisui S-Lec entrusts asset management to GTI

Zaltbommel / Maastricht-Airport,  March 26, 2007

GTI wins 3-year performance contract in joint venture

After a fierce contest, GTI Zuidoost signed a three-year contract with the Japanese firm Sekisui S-Lec on Friday 23 March. In the contract, Sekisui S-Lec outsources the asset management of its new 'PVB resin plant' in Geleen to GTI and Burgers Ergon, jointly represented in the joint venture S-Mac. In its plant on the Chemelot site, Sekisui produces the basic materials for its end product: PVB film for laminated glass for the automotive and building sectors. GTI came out ahead of its competitors because it has all relevant disciplines under one roof and is accessible and available 24 hours a day. This second quality is of great importance for a plant with a continuous production process. The contract has a total value of about 1.8 million euros.

Sekisui S-Lec is outsourcing its asset management. This includes both maintenance management and the execution of maintenance work. It also covers monitoring the integrity of the systems. This means that Sekisui S-Lec must be able to prove at any moment of the day that its plant complies with all statutory requirements. In addition, GTI will support its customer with maintenance engineering, which will lead to advice on more intelligent maintenance and management of its systems. The partnership takes the form of a three-year contract, with key performance indicators being developed during the first two years. In the third year, these indicators will become 'hard' and the parties will be able to hold each other to them. A far-reaching collaboration of this nature on a technical basis is extremely unusual in the chemical sector.

Together with the companies Axima, Elyo, ENDEL, INEO, Tractebel Engineering and Fabricom GTI, GTI is part of SUEZ Energy Services.

SUEZ Energy Services, European leader in installation and technical services, develops value added solutions for its clients in the industry, the building services and the infrastructure as for design, realization and maintenance of technical installations along with energy management and long-term multi-technical management. SUEZ Energy Services employs 66,000 people and achieved revenues of € 10,7 billion in 2006. SUEZ Energy Services is one of the four business lines of the international industrial group SUEZ. SUEZ's stocks are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
