GTI Koudetechniek certified to design, build and implement installations in accordance with European PED
Bunnik/Zoetermeer , November 10, 2005GTI Koudetechniek bv recently received from BVQi the certificate for the H1/H module of the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). This makes GTI Koudetechniek the first cooling technology company in the Netherlands to be authorized to design, build and implement cooling installations with limited intervention from a Notified Body.
The installations installed by GTI Koudetechniek only have to undergo a random inspection by a Notified Body. This is because GTI Koudetechniek has also had its design instructions certified according to the PED, even for the heaviest category (the categories are classified depending on the chemicals and the pressure used). GTI Koudetechniek will always place new, innovative designs before a Notified Body for approval.
The certification gives customers absolute certainty of the reliability of GTI Koudetechniek's equipment. Furthermore, the limited intervention of a Notified Body results in important advantages in efficiency.
The certification was performed by KW2 (a subsidiary of Bureau Veritas).
GTI was previously certified for modules D, D1 and H for pressure equipment (such as steam boilers, pressurized vessels and installation pipes) outside the sphere of cooling technology.
