GTI NV has reached an agreement with Team Inc. USA concerning the sale of the company Leak Repairs Specam in Vlissingen. The sale includes 100% of the shares in Leak Repairs Specam and the 30% interest of Leak Repairs Specam in Team Inc. Europe.

Leak Repairs Specam specializes in a range of technical services in fields including leak repairs, hot tapping, measurement of leak losses, onsite machining and bolt operations. The company is active in the Netherlands and Belgium with its head office in Vlissingen and branches in Rotterdam, Best and Antwerp. Leak Repairs Specam was one of the SUEZ Energy Services companies that became part of the GTI organization after the acquisition of GTI by SUEZ.

Team Inc. USA expressed interest in the acquisition of Leak Repairs Specam because this fitted in with its growth scenario for the European market. Leak Repairs Specam has limited opportunities for growth in the Netherlands. Within the Team Inc. context, there are better possibilities for the company to expand and linking up with Team therefore provides a better guarantee of the development of Leak Repairs Specam.

The acquisition includes all employees of Leak Repairs Specam in the Netherlands and Belgium, about 90 Full Time Equivalent. The personnel and trade unions were informed of the intended sale in December 2007. The Central Works Council has given a positive opinion of the acquisition.
