GTI appoints new CEO

GTI nv announces that Mr. Edo H.M. van den Assem (55) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer as of 24 January 2005.

Until recently, Edo van den Assem was a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of HAGEMEYER NV, which he joined in mid-1999. Before that he was amongst other things a member of the Executive Board of DAF Trucks NV.

Eric Koenen, member of GTI's Board of Management, on the appointment of Edo van den Assem: "We are pleased with Edo's appointment. His appointment will strengthen the recently started strategy of customer-oriented growth in selected markets. He has ample experience in leading organisations in times of change.
