GTI signs 10-year maintenance management contract for power plant SCA Packaging De Hoop BV

Bunnik/Arnhem,  April 19, 2005

GTI and SCA Packaging De Hoop BV recently signed a maintenance contract for a period of at least 10 years concerning SCA's total energy plant in Eerbeek. GTI is responsible for the total maintenance and management of the power plant.

SCA De Hoop has selected GTI as the main contractor for the maintenance of the total energy plant because of its approach that fits in with the organisation of SCA and that forms a safeguard for the continuity of their production process. GTI will continue the activities that were previously carried out by sister organisation Electrabel.

The contract comprises the planning, organisation and execution of the maintenance of the total energy plant installation as well as the accompanying utilities. The maintenance that GTI carries out includes electro technology, instrumentation, measuring and control engineering and the revision of appendages and rotating equipment. The maintenance of the gas turbines, steam turbines and generators of the total energy plant is based on 80,000 equivalent operating hours of the gas turbine and has a lead-time of minimally 10 and maximally 12 years. The total energy plant has a total load of 66 MW.
