GTI has a performance contract for the maintenance of electrotechnical, mechanical and electronic installations and steel structures in the following traffic tunnels in Zuid-Holland:

• Beneluxtunnel (1^st and 2^nd)
• Botlektunnel
• Heinenoordtunnel (1^st and 2^nd)
• Tunnel onder de Noord
• Drechttunnel
• Thomassentunnel
• Sijtwendetunneltrace

The contract includes performance standards for:

• functional availability of each complex;
• technical condition of each complex;
• lane management of each complex;
• quality of the work (carried out by GTI).

Work carried out
GTI is improving the installations and maintenance concepts. We are devising innovative methods for measuring functional requirements, using components with a longer service life, and developing solutions that reduce interference. Critical parts of the installation are fitted with anti-interference components wherever possible. We consider the parts whose failure has an immediate adverse effect on traffic flow and may cause a lengthy outage as critical parts.
