Contract: Responsible for all technical disciplines
Client: Orbis Medical Park
Location: Sittard-Geleen
Orbis Medical Park is a regional hospital in a park-like setting surrounded by a mental health centre, a rehabilitation centre, a car park, a power plant and a 'Care Boulevard'. The project is being built by the Medical Park Sittard VOF building consortium, in which GTI is taking care of all the technical disciplines.
Orbis Medical Park is referred to as a hospital for the 21st century. The architectural design is based on the characteristics of future care, which puts the patient centre stage, with shorter waiting times and the shortest possible stay in hospital. This creates more of a shift from clinical to outpatient care and day nursing, which in turn reduces the number of beds required. Good planning, coordination with health care partners and optimum use of facilities and ICT result in efficient and effective process flows. Construction features the latest technologies, which makes this a very progressive project in technical terms.
