Filters
GTI is an expert at providing effective filtration and separation solutions. We offer various options geared to your process, production environment and national/international guidelines. We define the incoming material and specify what outflow you can expect after filtration. These agreements guarantee results, so you always know where you stand.
Two filtration methods
GTI provides the two filtration methods most commonly used in the chemical industry:
- Membrane back-pulse filtration is a very effective method of separating dissolved solid matter from large volumes of liquid (as required in the chlorine industry, for example). The Goretex® membranes make the filtrate immediately clear. The solid matter is easy to remove completely with hardly any production interruptions. Initial costs are also low and operational costs are minimal.
- Plate separators are used to separate solid matter from large volumes of liquid, or two liquids of different densities such as oil and water in refineries and offshore applications. One of the advantages of this method is its high degree of efficiency. It is also economical, because plate separators are relatively cheap to purchase and use and do not consume any energy.
